Kerwin & Taylor

I would like to welcome Taylor & Kerwin to our blog this morning! Taylor and Kerwin got married at Fordoun Spa in Nottingham Rd in the Midlands. This venue has become known as a picturesque wedding venue with so much to offer… This day started off with amazing weather and we were delighted to see Fordoun’s, newly renovated, cabins, chapel and reception area. When we arrived at the Chapel we got to work straight away! The theme was classic white with crystal, bronze and velvet red undertones. The bridesmaids dresses accentuated this with their dresses being velvet red in colour. When I got to see the bride’s dress it truly was a vision and Taylor was a vision in the dress! Everything went well with the bridal and groom prep and we then moved to the Chapel to get married! There were many wet eyes inside that Chapel that morning and you could feel Kerwin’s excitement as Taylor was escorted down the aisle.

The priest did a great job in how he handled his sermon and how well he spoke. There was lots of wisdom shared about true marriage and God’s original design. After the signing of the register and a great first kiss we exited into a bright sun and the canapes were just calling our names. We cut the cake at the canapes and I could see how the guests were catching with each others lives. After the family photos were taken at the Chapel I took the Retinue to the south side of the estate and shot everyone on the open fields. The girls were super classy and just knew how to bring their A game! The guys were full of fun and listened to everything we asked of them. For the couple shoot I moved Taylor and Kerwin to the entrance and shot Taylor under the umbrella of trees and then I later moved them to the dam to get some intimate shots. The light at that time was just magical with so much contrast, boosting all my mid tones.

At the reception the retinue entered with a bang and dancing was enjoyed by all. We had a great MC, who was also a professional comedian, and he had everyone in hysterics! The speeches were all fantastically prepared and the couple was well spoken of. I would just like to thank Kerwin and Taylor for allowing us to capture such a special day and wish them only success in their future together!
