Rob & Nicole

I would like to welcome Rob and Nicole’s wedding to our blog this afternoon. This couple got married at Haycroft in the Midlands in KZN. The day started off with the weather playing funny tricks on us with the rain falling and stopping and then falling and stopping again. The venue decided to host the guests in the chapel due to the weather been so funny. Nicole was a beautiful bride and she looked gorgeous in her Hanrie Lues gown! Her girls were super supportive of her and made her feel super special. One thing I love about this venue is the authentic rustic look of the place. You can shoot anywhere and all the textures just scream at you.

Rob seemed like a gracious and gentle soul that just adores Nicole. When Nicole walked down the aisle you could see that he had such love for his bride. The priest, that performed the service, did a profound job and before we knew that he had reached the end of the service we were preparing for the grande exit…

Lots of cheers were heard all around as Rob and Nicole walked through the rain of petals and everyone was excited for them! We made our way down to the Lake for some canapes’ and some drinks and I decided to shoot the family photos near the Lake. I had called the retinue for the creative and started the long trek across the dam where there was an open field. We popped the champagne and had lots of fun in the cold. The girls were very brave. Inside the forest I could see we were running out of light because the weather had changed again but I knew our cameras could handle the forest so we spent the next 35 minutes in the forest with just Rob and Nicole. They were so patient with us and I appreciated that alot. When we got to reception Haycroft never let us down with their beautiful decor and lighting inside the venue.

The tables were set out in rows which was so different on the usual round tables. The speeches shared were all heartfelt and had given us more background on the lives of Rob and Nicole’s family. There was a bit of roasting from Rob’s groomsmen but all was said in love with lots of laughs all around. I ended the night with a night shoot on the board walk. You could see Nicole was simply stunning! Thank you so much Rob and Nicole for entrusting your day into our care. We wish you only the best in your future endeavours!
